Summary: "Major Disappointment"

I was a long time fan of the Mephisto Brand, and decided to give them a try when they came out with this boat shoe. What a mistake it was. First, these shoes were too heavy and stuffy for the summer / boat use. However, the major problem came less than a year later, when the heels started to crumble then totally disintegrated. Mephisto does offer a service to resole any of their shoes. But they charge so much for this service now, that it's practically useless. You can buy a new pair of much better boat shoes for half of the cost to resole this junk.
The name Mephisto definitely does not mean the same as it used to.
